Govt scraps decision to cut savings certificate profit rate

The government has cancelled the decision to reduce the profit rate of the five savings schemes run under the National Savings Directorate. The International Resources Division under the Ministry of Finance issued a notification on Sunday, January 4, reinstating the previous profit rate.
